Kate is an multi award-winning professional painter based in the English Lake District in the Lyth valley.
She is an elected member of the Society of Women Artists and The Lakes Artists Society.
Kate is currently one of the Artists in Residence at ‘Brantwood’ which was the former home of John Ruskin .
Kerrie Gosney from Granda TV joins Kate at Blea Tarn, Cumbria – a source of inspiration for the watercolour painting – to gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a professional painter.
This is the 5th episode in the TV series entitled “The Artist in the Landscape” where artists from all over the country are interviewed to get the story behind the works.

After 4 years of my doors staying firmly shut I thought it would be lovely I opened my studio doors to the public again..a wee glimpse into a professional Fine Art studio
I will be exhibiting mainly oils and watercolours of the Lake District & local landscapes,and for those who like figurative work I have many squirreled away for perusal . A few unframed originals and limited edition prints completes the picture .Hope you can make it
